Kate Thornhill

Kate is a library and information scientist who works at the University of Oregon Libraries. She specializes in the care, custody, control, and collaboration of digital special collections and archives used as research data within the digital humanities.Kate has extensive experience constructing interactive media-based digital research and classroom-based projects, leading digital libraries user experience, teaching digital libraries and digitization, and shepherding people in how to manage digital special collections with an eye on reuse.Here main research and teaching areas are focused on social science-based humanistic inquiry, oral histories, and location-based storytelling.pronouns: she/her/hers
